The Organisation purpose

Scotland has a diverse population, and there are many Africans who live in Scotland, including people from various countries in Africa such as Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Somalia, among others.

The African population in Scotland has grown in recent years, and many have come to Scotland for a variety of reasons, including work, education, and family reasons.
The African community in Scotland has contributed to the cultural diversity of Scotland, and their presence has been welcomed by many.

Several organizations and community groups have served the African community in Scotland by providing some level of support and resources to enable them settle and grow at a reasonable pace.

At Afro-Scot Relief Project, We support and give opportunities to the African community living in Scotland through provision of a range of holistic services.

We also intend to support the African community by working together with other local organizations to encourage engagement in local opportunities and integration within the community.

We pride ourselves with the organization’s purposes which are

1. To promote health awareness among the African community in Scotland through a holistic approach.

2. To promote African art, culture, and heritage through social engagement. Activities.

The above stated broad purposes shall be achieved through health promotion, Culture, and recreational activities – but not limited to the following activities:

  • Social wellness- creating strong social network.
  • Stress Management Programs.
  • Massage and Aromatherapy sessions.
  • Mindfulness and Meditation sessions.
  • Physical Activities – Yoga/Zumba sessions.
  • Alleviating African men mental health situation.
  • Referrals for vocational training and skills.
  • Engage the African community in the activities that promote healthy eating habits.
  • Guide in CV writing.
  • Family gathering.
  • Tree planting.
  • Camping.
  • Cultural dancing.
  • Quiz/Debate competition.
  • Talk shows.
  • Football Competition.
